For most of us, clean water has usually not been further away than the nearest faucet. So, it is a little difficult to imagine that one day that water won’t be available, and it may not be available for many days to follow. Water is so necessary to our survival, that it is generally accepted that we can live only 3 days without it. When we force ourselves to imagine this possibility, immediately many questions come to mind:

How much water will I need?
Answer: One Gallon per Person per Day, for consumption, hygiene and food preparation.

Answer: Water can be stored for 6 months or more with proper treatment and containers.
