Committees
Standing committees are ongoing, and leaders are current Board Members. Committees are a great way to contribute to the work of your neighborhood association outside of general meetings. Neighbors who have interest in the work of a committee should send us a message, and we will reach out to you.
Community preparedness
This committee promotes individual, family, and community preparedness and resilience. It seeks to coordinate with the City of Portland Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET), other neighborhoods, volunteer organizations, local businesses & residents to provide resources in support of this purpose.
Outreach and communication
We make sure people know about the work of CKNA, like events, meetings, and issues we are working on together. If you love to get the word out in creative ways and inspire people to join us and improve the neighborhood, then this is the committee for you!
Land use, transportation, and livability
We track new construction projects in the neighborhood, share livability concerns, and work on pedestrian, commuter, and bike safety issues. If you are interested in how our neighborhood is changing or better transit, then this is the committee for you!
Small business support
We share issues of interest to small businesses, give neighborhood feedback to area businesses who seek it, and help raise awareness of people who have products and services in the neighborhood. If you are interested in keeping it local, then this is the committee for you!
Community care
We look for opportunities to help people in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood by sharing with others. If you are interested in efforts that give directly to those in need, then this is the committee for you!
