- Multnomah County’s Care for When It’s Cold webpage has both general and current information.
- For Winter Weather Safety Information go to Public Alerts. Use the pull-down below their logo to choose from 26 different languages. Please share this with your ESL friends and neighbors.
- During severe winter weather events, call 211 if someone needs severe weather shelter information or transportation to a warming shelter.
- If you need weatherization information or assistance click here or call 211.
- Checkout PG&E’s Medical Baseline Program if you or yours have a medical condition that makes you vulnerable to cold weather.
- If you have kids in school, see the PPS Inclement Weather Information page and sign up for text alerts about weather-related delays and closures.

And a couple of reminders:
- We are responsible for clearing our public sidewalks.
- Clear snow from sidewalks before it becomes ice.
- Use salt sparingly on cleared walks. It is of little value on top of thick ice.
- Watch out for "re-freeze" ice. It is the most treacherous and hard to see.
